about Andrea leda
why I answered my calling
Dear Fellow seeker,
I'm that girl strangers share their life stories with. It doesn't matter if I'm in line at the grocery store or on an airplane, I often find myself as the person others tell deep and meaningful things to. I thought everyone received in this way. I thought everyone enjoyed listening and lending sometimes just a smile as if to say, "I see you and I hear you."
It would take until I was 30 to realize this simply isn't the case. I have a gift. I call this gift compassion. I call this gift empathy. And I call this gift love. This gift isn't unique to me but it is the thread of my life and the lens for my work.
You see, the most radical thing about me is that I love people and I have a strong belief in our capacity to do good. I love our silly nature, our dreams and our ability to create hope. I also love that we get to re-awaken with each lifetime and discover something completely new.
I've always been intuitive and tapped into things I can't see but know to be true. When I walk around in the world I don't just see the world, I feel it. I feel all of it. Sometimes I can't tell which is mine and which is not mine because it just all melts together. One big emotional soup.
To feel the world isn't always easy or convenient, but it's a gift. Emotions are the texture to our life. They give our life meaning and make our stories worth recounting. My mother helped me understand this. She always told me I would be a helper one day. Naturally upon hearing this I avoided it for as long as I could. I wanted to come to this conclusion on my own. When I finally conceded that she was right she simply smiled and said, "I know."
My mother was the embodiment of a nurturer. She held my hand but never gripped me. She was there when I needed her but she didn't hover. She encouraged me to "follow my bliss" but let me fall and fail along the way. In a way, she was my first coach. My mother died from breast cancer when I was 33. I was sleeping beside her when she took her last breath and I held her hand for the next six hours not fully knowing how to live in a world where she didn't.
But the truth is, she's in me. My mother's strength and her conviction are why I am able to do the work that I do. We even share our middle name, 'Leda'. She demonstrated protection, tenacity, and a little stubbornness for good measure. After she passed this little seed in me popped open and I was left with the clear call to lead women. To use my gifts in a way I hadn't before.
Over the past 13 years I've chosen to explore people. First as a social worker, then as a counselor, and today as a coach. However, these are just tools and a means for me to do my real work -- to help women awaken their life from the inside out. To help you see how brilliant, creative, and resourceful you already are. To help more women share their voice with the world and even with themselves.
Today my work is for women with something to say, something to give, and the readiness to do both. I lead a community of women near and far who are following their bliss, changing the greater conversation, and helping the next generation of women step forward more united. This work is no longer negotiable and our time is now.
Light and love,
Why i answered my call...
Answering our call can feel like life or death. And in truth, it's a kind of death. It's the death of who we thought we were, of the ideals that carried us this far, and of the things we used to believe to be true.
In order to experience a spiritual rebirth, you have to let go. I had to let go. And risk the leap. We are all on a journey, and in every journey there's an opportunity to let go of an old narrative and move into the unknown. It's the unknown that most people want to avoid -- but if you do, you miss the greatest opportunity to awaken your life and literally manifest your dreams.
We all have a calling. Sometimes it comes through loud and clear. Other times it's merely a faint whisper, and you feel crazy for even thinking something is speaking to you. (You're not alone!)
I answered my calling because I ached to return to my intuitive roots and use my gift to help people heal and radically uplevel their life. I believe when we serve others we live full out, no matter our work. Since bridging my spiritual practices and my coaching I've witnessed miracles. And magic is just way more fun...
I've watched as people heal stories in a day that have been plaguing them for years, when no amount of therapy or medication could help.
I've seen people change their relationship to money in a moment and have years of stress melt away.
I've sat with leaders in major companies who now feel safe enough to have vulnerable conversations for the first time in their career.
I've seen entrepreneurs finally feel like enough after years of hustling and struggling to be successful, and watch as they let themselves be seen and then finally experience the success they were pining for.
I've supported my fellow coaches and healers embody their gifts as empaths and no longer allow the outside world convince them they're too sensitive and to stay small.
I've watched people break old habits and patterns that instantly mend relationships and allow them to let go of anger and resentment, in less than a few hours.
I've held space for groups and witnessed people pour so much love and support out for one another's success that it left me speechless.
I could keep going.
Whether through my own exploration, in learning from my teachers, or my many intuitive downloads, I've collected wisdom about the meaning of life, why we suffer, how to hear your calling, how to change your story, the real law of attraction, how to heal emotional crisis, the power of forgiveness, the beauty of money, and many more.
Although my private coaching and courses are not for everyone, I want these messages to be shared with all who want them. Whether you're just passing through or preparing to take flight I invite you to be a reader. I write insights every week for my Inner Circle. This space is my gift to you.
Wherever your wild and magical life takes you, I send you so much light & love. Know that I believe in you and you ARE enough.
