Weekly Journal Prompt - Remember Summer
Each week I gift a Weekly Journal Prompt for you to try on in your journal. As a part of my quest to help you be inspired by keeping a journal, I want to be your guide. You can see and write from all Weekly Journal Prompts here. Thanks for joining in! This week's journal prompt of the week is all about remembering summer. The end of a season is a great time to use your journal as a time capsule. Recount your favorite things from the season in any form you wish.
You can make a list of your best moments or top highlights. Tell a few of your favorite stories from the summer. Find a quote that sums it up and use that as inspiration. What do you most want to remember for future reference?
As I mentioned above, this is a form of time capsule. It's a technique where your journal becomes your memory keeper. Like scrap booking without photos. Be creative with your words and stretch your imagination. Even a few months from now you won't remember all the great stuff that happened this summer.
This prompt also serves as a nice transition into a new season. As you see on my Monthly Journal Calendar, there is time this month for looking forward. For getting excited about your favorite things to do in the Fall. But first, let's wrap up summer!
If you are new to journal writing I encourage you to use a timer and just write for 10 minutes. This helps you get into the flow a bit quicker. You'll be amazed how fast 10 minutes can go! Have fun with this one and enjoy.
