This week's journal prompt of the week is about practicing self-acceptance. I'm in the middle of a wonderful book called, "Radical Acceptance" by Tara Brach, a meditation teacher and psychologist. As she points out in this book, acceptance is not passive allowance for things to happen in your life - but it is sitting back from reaction or attachment to judgment of what's happening in your life.
What would happen if you practiced self-acceptance? In your journal this week practice this and see what comes through your pen. You may even find a few words that life your spirit up which can make for beautiful mantras or daily reminders.
At the top of a fresh page write, "If I accepted myself, then..." Set your timer for 10 minutes, place pen to paper, and journal. In love and light, Andrea
