November Book Club: Discovering your Soul Signature by Panache Desai
Book Club is back! Here's how it will work - at the start of each month, or the week before, I'll post the book for the month. You have all month to read it! At the end of the month I'll post questions, share some of my notes about the book, and ask you to participate in the comments section. In this book club we will focus on books that make you feel good. You can always see the monthly book selection on the side bar.
November Book Club Selection:
Do you ever feel like a book picks you? I have a few books in my collection that kept finding their way into my life until I finally read them. And they've all been my favorite reads like The Gifts of Imperfection and #GIRLBOSS. November's Book Club selection belongs in this category. It's Discovering your Soul Signature by Panache Desai. I watched Panache on Oprah's Super Soul Sunday back in the Spring of this year. He is one of the most compassionate beings I've ever heard speak and this was long before he had a book out.
During my wakeup call experience this summer I would wander Powell's Books aimlessly waiting for something to jump off the shelf and make sense of what was happening in my life. This book did just that. Well, it didn't literally jump but I didn't hesitate to pick it up and take it home.
This book requires dedication, let me say that first. It's not something you sit down and read cover to cover. It's a 33-day read with paragraphs for morning, noon, and evening. Although you only read a few pages each day it does mean practicing a little devotion to the book for longer than a few days. But it's well worth it if you are in need of more purpose, passion, and joy in your life. And aren't we all?!
If you're up for it, read this! I just might have something in store for you in the New Year to accompany it.
Book club discussion will take place right here on Wednesday, December 3rd. I'll post a few questions and give my input BUT I really want to hear from you! Enjoy this read, I think it's going to be a good one. Happy reading!
Please note: As a Portland dweller, I am a big fan of Powell's Books. I link to their online store for all book club picks but am not an affiliate.
