Are your afraid of being 'BIG'?
There was a video that went viral a couple months back. In the video a college student is performing a spoken word piece about how she was taught through the actions of others to stay small. To stay small physically, yes, but to also stay small in her opinion, her attitude, and her ideas.

So yes, we are taught to stay small and get small. I coach women every day who desire to lose weight and shrink their body. To make this happen I see women shrink their food intake and shrink their patience for attaining perfection.
But in shrinking your size you also shrink your self-compassion. You might shrink the dark parts of your life but you can’t hide your dark without also hiding your light. I am here to share with you that you can be healthy and still take up SPACE.
Space is not just physical. You can take up space by:
- Speaking your mind
- Expressing opinion
- Sharing your experiences
- Loving someone
- Being LOUD
- Having massive compassion for yourself and others
- Enjoying the foods you eat
- Standing firm in your convictions
- Wearing bright colors and patterns
- Making noise
- Holding space for others by listening to them
- Having pride for who you are
- Sharing your gifts with the world
- Lifting heavy things
- Giving someone a hug
- What are some ways you like to take up SPACE?
You are entitled to take up space!! To help you do this I have a BIG assignment for you. Choose ONE thing from the list or add your own. Commit to this SPACE taking action at least 1-2 times this week. Be sure and share this with a woman you love and help her too take up SPACE.
